| Noise Control for Desalination Plants and Water Treatment Facilities |
Hessler Associates provides acoustical analysis, design and noise control services for new or existing
desalination and water treatment facilities. Noise from proposed future installations or expansions can be
analytically modeled to evaluate any potential environmental impacts from the project and to determine
what noise mitigation measures might have to be incorporated into the facility.
|
|
In addition, the firm specializes in the analysis and diagnosis of noise problems in operating facilities
and in the development of practical and cost-effective noise abatement measures.
|
Typical noise sources include:
» Brine Recirculation Pumps
» Valve and Piping Noise
» Decarbonator Blowers
» Auxiliary Boilers
» Seawater Intake Pumps
» RO Systems
» Filtration Systems
» Compressors
|
|
Other services include complete acoustical mapping of operating facilities to document current in-plant
noise levels. Noise mapping identifies high noise areas where ear protection or limited exposure times
may be required by OSHA (for domestic sites) or the pertinent regulatory body for overseas facilities.
