Air cooled condensers are large and complex noise sources that demand specialized knowledge
and a significant amount of field experience to fully understand. As a consultant to a variety of
power plant builders and ACC manufacturer's we have been involved in just about every possible
aspect of ACC noise prediction, testing and problem diagnosis.

In addition to fan noise during steady state operation there are many other noise issues associated
with ACC's. Most significantly, during plant start-ups and shutdowns noise from operation of the
steam turbine bypass, internal drain tank and air ejection systems often creates severe community
noise impacts. HAI has been involved, probably more than anyone else, with these serious noise
problems and can bring a comprehensive base of experience to bear on any problem.
